What to expect before and during an appointment?

Upon booking your appointment you will receive a consent form and questionnaire to complete ahead of your visit. This provides EARase with more information about your symptoms and situation, and ensures you are as prepared as possible. Don't worry if you don't get chance to fill this in beforehand, you can complete it at the start of your appointment.

In the days leading up to your appointment, it can be helpful to soften the wax by using olive oil ear drops in the affected ear(s) once or twice a day for at least two days prior to your visit. This isn't essential, but it can make the removal process more efficient and effective.

Each appointment starts with a consultation and ear health examination. EARase will identify any ear wax build up and discuss the most suitable wax removal method for you before proceeding.

Sometimes during the consultation EARase may identify that there is no wax build up. If this is the case, only the consultation fee (£25) will apply.
